my mother

among the poppies,

And there I am again,

at two,

squinting into the sun,

HERE IS A GREAT AND TIMELY SPEECH BY SEN. TED KENNEDY

This was his speech when he lost the democratic nomination to Jimmy Carter in 1980. It's sad that so much of what he proposed has not been realized 28 years later, almost a whole lifetime for some of you. I hope we will see a different outcome this time around.
